ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2005

In association with Development Policy and Practice and the International Development Centre at the Open University

Milton Keynes, UK
7th-9th September 2005

Connecting people and places: challenges and opportunities for development

Conference Programme

The Conference is designed so that each day has a self-contained programme, but the themes continue over the three days, so participants can choose whether to come for the whole event or just for a day. The detailed programme will be made available on this site and will include:

  • Plenary Sessions on the conference themes with Keynote Speakers
  • Parallel Sessions which will include those organised by DSA Study Groups as well as Thematic Panels

Abstracts of Workshop Papers

Several abstracts under the various themes being discussed at the Conference are now available - do visit the Abstracts Pages for more information.

Study Group sessions

The DSA Study Group Convenors are organizing parallel sessions. The deadline for submission of papers is now past and the programme is being put together. An outline programme has been prepared and can be downloaded.

Submission of papers for Study Group sessions

  • Authors will be informed by the study Group convenors by mid July if their paper has been accepted for the parallel sessions. The convenors will also advise on their requirements for the submission of papers and the session.
  • Accepted abstracts are published on the web site in advance of the conference.
  • Presenters wishing to circulate their paper at the conference should bring about 35 copies with them as the organisers cannot provide photocopying facilities.

Thematic Panels

Panels for parallel sessions addressing aspects of the conference theme have also been invited and details are included in the Draft Outline Programme (Word Document)
