Gender and Development MA
University of Sussex

This programme situates the study of gender and development in the context of the social sciences, while addressing the challenges of policy-making and implementation. To do this it brings together experts from a range of academic disciplines and policy experiences. The programme is taught jointly by IDS and the School of Global Studies.

Entry requirements

UK entrance requirements
A first- or upper second-class undergraduate honours degree in the social sciences or a related discipline, and two years' professional work experience in a developing country or in development-related work, which is a factor in selection. Applications must be accompanied by a detailed, two-page personal statement.

Overseas entrance requirements
Sussex receives applications from all over the world and is therefore very experienced in assessing the qualifications offered by students from outside the UK.
