MA Globalisation and Development

Understanding the key challenges of globalisation, the role of businesses in achieving sustainable development and how development agencies should engage with them are the key objectives of this MA programme.
Students will learn the analytical and practical skills needed to understand globalisation processes, the role of business in development and how policy makers and policy can interact with businesses to promote development. The programme will provide an insight into the ramifications of globalisation and the policies needed to positively manage these as well as an in-depth understanding of the relationship between business, development and economic growth.
The programme provides an innovative mix of teaching methods that combines conventional lectures and workshops as well as interactions with people from business, the public sector, NGOs and international organisations.
