Programme Objectives

  • To emphasize the link between the areas of management, economics and sustainable development, and the efforts to establish sustainable peace at different levels and contexts
  • To prepare graduates to apply well-informed approaches to management and sustainable economic development in a broad and diverse spectrum of professional settings
  • To develop and strengthen graduates' ethical leadership, conflict management and resolution, and communication skills which would be effectively used to advance peace efforts in various setting

Entry requirements

The MA in Responsible Management and Sustainable Economic Development (RMSED) follows the regular format of the current UPEACE MA programmes. The RMSED MA, like other MAs at UPEACE, is designed as an intensive programme that lasts for 11 months. Students are required to complete 40 graduate credits to graduate. Thirty-two credits are allocated for course work, and eight credits are allocated for an internship/project and a final written assignment. The courses, listed below, are multidisciplinary, and benefit from UPEACE's unique multiple offering of courses in diverse areas related to peace and conflict studies.
