BA Hons International Development with Economics with Overseas Experience (L2LC)
University of East Anglia: School of International Development

 

This degree allows you to combine economics with other disciplinary pathways, equipping you for policy and practice in the workplace.

In Year 1, you will study the following compulsory modules:

 

  • Introduction to Development Studies
  • Key Skills for Development Studies
  • Data in Development Studies
  • Economics for Development
You can also choose 1 other subject stream from the following 2 subjects:
  • Natural Resources and Environment for Development
  • Social Analysis for Development: Sociology
In Year 2, you will continue with the economics theme and your other chosen subject theme, in addition to taking a choice of topical and regional courses.

In Year 3, you will write a Dissertation (research project) which will build on your first and second year economics modules. Students will also undertake their Overseas Experience (either Work Experience or Overseas Study) at this time where they will spend 3-4 months overseas in the Autumn semester.

All candidates must hold 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C or above including Maths and English.
