BA Hons International Development with Social Anthropology and Politics (L2L6)
University of East Anglia: School of International Development

This degree examines International Development from a perspective of social anthropology and politics giving you exposure to both interdisciplinary and disciplinary teaching.

In Year 1, you will study 4 compulsory modules:

 

  • Introduction to Development Studies
  • Key Skills for Development Skills
  • Data in Development Studies
  • Social Analysis for Development: Sociology
Students can also choose 1 other subject theme from the following 2 subjects:
  • Economics for Development
  • Natural Resources and Environment for Development
In Year 2, you will continue with your chosen theme and also be able to select a range of modules from a choice of topical and regional courses.

In Year 3, you will write a Dissertation (research project) focused on a topic which builds on the knowledge gained in the subject of social science.

All candidates must hold 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C or above including Maths and English.
