BSc Hons International Development with Environment and Society (L2F7)
University of East Anglia: School of International Development

This degree will give you an insight to climate change, productivity and nutrient cycling and examining the concepts with issues such as diversity, sustainability, system equilibrium and resilience. This will allow you to analyse resource systems and issues such as technology or biological diversity.

In Year 1, you will study 4 compulsory modules:

 

  • Introduction to Development Studies
  • Key Skills for Development Studies
  • Data in Development Studies
  • Natural Resources and Environment for Development
You can then choose 1 other subject theme from the following 2 subjects:
  • Economics for Development
  • Social Analysis for Development: Sociology
In Year 2, you will continue with the natural resources and environment theme and your chosen subject theme, in addition to taking a choice of topical and regional courses.

In Year 3, you will write a Dissertation (research project) on a topic related to environment, natural resources management and society.

All candidates must hold 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C or above including Maths and English.
