Peter Balimunsi
Mr. Peter Balimunsi is a Development Consultant based in Uganda and is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Development Studies at Bugema University in Kampala. He previously worked in the National Water & Sewerage Corporation in Uganda where he held various positions including: Area Manager, Project Manager, Head of Planning & Capital Development, and Head of Operations Department. He is an Engineer/Development Economist with extensive experience in national and sectoral development policy analysis, project cycle management, procurement management for works and services, project proposal writing, project identification, appraisal, institutional development, multi-donor programme coordination, and teaching. He has a track record of successful implementation and management of water and sanitation infrastructural development projects financed by Government, multilateral agencies like World Bank, European Union, and bilateral agencies like German Development Bank Kreditanstal fuer Wiederaufbau (KfW), GtZ, and French Development Agency AfD.
His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Makerere University in Uganda, a Masters in Development Studies from University College Dublin- Ireland, a Master of Science in Development Finance & a Diploma in Economics both from University of London in UK.
Peter is a registered Engineer with Uganda Engineers Registration Board, a Past President of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers, a Member of Development Studies Association of UK, and also an Associate Consultant (Project Management) of the Uganda Management Institute.
