The co-chairs of the UN Rio+20 ‘Earth Summit’ Preparatory Committee have released a zero draft outcome document entitled ‘The future we want’. This 19-page document opens with the vision and renewal of political commitments on sustainable development, followed by a discussion of the major themes of the conference (a green economy and institutional framework), and a framework for action. The outcome document has already sparked comments from The Guardian, IIED and the Green Economy Coalition, so let’s use the time from now until the Summit in June 2012 to debate the key issues
