Elizabeth Ascroft, a PhD student in the Centre for the Study of Global Development (CSGD), recently collaborated with 12 young people in Aruba to develop a sex education e-zine as part of her PhD research. The e-zine aims to encourage open discussions about sex, relationships, and sexuality among young people in Aruba and promote normalisation around these topics. This project is part of her research on co-creating sexuality education resources in collaboration with young people.

The Mobile Learning for Empowerment of Marginalised Mathematics Educators (3MPower) project, led by the principal investigator, Professor Tom Power, has published three new policy briefs, informed by 3MPower research on how primary-level teachers in 10 districts in Bangladesh engaged with a professional development course — Anonde Gonit Shikhi (AGS), delivered by the Directorate of Primary Education in Bangladesh.

These briefs offer recommendations to e-learning providers, school leaders, and policymakers on how they can support teachers in implementing the skills and knowledge they gain through professional development courses to improve their teaching practices and students’ learning.
