CIDT supports the Caribbean Development Bank to launch the region’s first online community engagement course
Since 2021 CIDT has been working to support the Bank’s drive and strategic emphasis on engagement and sharpened lens on safeguarding vulnerable communities. CIDT has delivered a suite of products, including a self-paced interactive online learning course to support capacity strengthening of Community Engagement (CE) practitioners, enabling the knowledge and skills available to reach a wider audience in accessible interactive formats. The online course, soon to be launched, features five modules that equip community-serving practitioners in the Caribbean with relevant practical skills, tools, and a framework for strengthening community involvement throughout the project cycle. A special feature of the course is that participants will learn about the protocols and special considerations involved in engaging Indigenous and Tribal Peoples. Interested parties can now register their interest in this course. The course is open for registrations.
Strengthening Government capability for data driven national development in the Horn of Africa
From 2020-25 CIDT has been contracted on behalf of the Government of Somaliland to support its national Development Fund (SDF). The sustainable investment of SDF is intended to spur job creation and economic growth, laying a foundation for resilience and development that leads to a more stable and peaceful Somaliland. CIDT provided support in two areas: survey design and implementation; and technical advisory assistance. A major part of this work has been the design and delivery of a suite of large-scale longitudinal national surveys in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning and National Development. Read more.
Mapping outcomes of food and agriculture programmes in Central Asia
From 2021 to 2024, CIDT’s Ella Haruna has been providing technical support to the Food and Agricultural Office of the UN (FAO) Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (REU), to improve its monitoring and evaluation and strengthen results-based management (RBM) approaches.
Over a three-year period of cooperation, support was provided for various outputs and facilitated events. The baseline for this work was a review with operational solutions proposed to strengthen the framework for the work of FAO-REU. A further key scope of work was technical and facilitation support to the formulation of four Theories of Change for Regional Priority Programmes for 2022-25. Read more.
