Development Studies Association online Shut-up and Write sessions.

Would you like to carve out some uninterrupted time for writing and actually write? Plus get some encouragement from, or encourage other colleagues in the DSA?

ECR Jenni Argent is hosting informal writing sessions via Zoom on the last Friday morning of every other month. These will be open to all DSA members at any stage in their careers, whether you are working on your thesis, a funding application, a paper, or anything that you just need to get your head down and get on with. The aim is to get two hours of solid writing done alongside DSA peers with a little bit of time for networking, peer accountability and general moral support.

The first one will be held on Friday the 28th of November at 10am finishing at 1pm (times are GMT) and you are welcome to join for part or all of the session.

Please register your interest here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing the joining instructions for the meeting. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected].

Upcoming DSA Shut-up and Write session dates:

  • Friday the 28th of November 10am
  • Friday the 30th of January 10am
  • Friday the 27th of March 10am
