Finding Accommodation in Dublin

Dublin is the capital city of Ireland and is famed for it’s history, literary legacy, traditional music and friendly ‘craic’. While there are many accommodation options available, they fill up VERY quickly and we cannot emphasise enough to start your search and book early in order to find the best option for you.

The address of the main conference venue is: University College Dublin (UCD) Belfield, Dublin 4, Ireland D04V1W8.

Please note that UCD is not in Dublin city centre, it is about 4km south on a campus site. There are buses that run between the city and the university regularly, notably 39a,E1 &E2. Click here for details about the various transport options. For those who enjoy a good walk it is approximately 1hr 26 m from Dublin city centre to UCD.

The University has extended a few accommodation rooms for delegates on the main campus. The accommodation is located only a few minutes’ walk from the conference location.

A special rate for the DSA2026 Conference of €120.00 has been agreed for on-campus accommodation with UCD.

The agreed rate for the DSA Conference is €120.00 room only per single en-suite bedroom per night and is applicable for reservations between 6th to 11th July 2026, with a minimum of 3 nights required and is available to be booked up until 5 weeks prior.

To make your reservation, please visit https://stay.ucd.ie/, select your arrival and departure date, select the number of rooms you wish to book and add the promo code DSA4417 for the single occupancy.

Accommodation on offer is Single En-suite Bedrooms, all furnished with a study area with ample storage. Bedrooms are located in shared apartments, with each bedroom having its own private bedroom and bathroom, with access to a shared common area within the apartment. Each apartment is shared between 4-14 residents.

Linen and towels are provided with basic toiletries. Please note that the accommodation does not offer daily housekeeping services but does offer a refresh service after 3 nights and a full service after 7 nights stay. Unfortunately the onsite accommodation is not suited to family stays and we would not be able to accept a family booking.

The Google Solution

Those looking for more affordable/alternative lodgings can use peer-reviewed travel advice or accommodation sites such as Booking.comTripadvisorLonely PlanetTrivagoAgodaWotif.com

Needless to say, you can simply google “budget accommodation Dublin” or “luxury pad rent Dublin” and see what turns up.

If you are thinking of renting a place for the week, where you can do your own cooking and may-be share the costs with colleagues/family, look at www.airbnb.comBooking.com, the “Vacation rentals” section on Tripadvisor use the search engines on the accommodation section of the site.

For those who want to meet locals, yet keep their costs to an absolute minimum, we recommend looking at couch-surfing sites:
