The DSA held its annual Heads of Centres meeting on 22nd October 2009 in conjunction with the UK Collaborative for Development Sciences. The UKCDS kindly hosted the meeting at the Wellcome Collection on Euston Road.

The agenda included a session by Chris Whitty, Head of Research at DFID on a Quality-graded Evidence Base; a discussion on the Research Excellence Framework specifically, the Unit of Assessment for Development Studies plus other related activities such as the Journal of International Development.
