Dr Rama Salla DIENG receives the 2025 Paula Kantor Award for excellence in field research

The International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), headquartered in Washington, D.C., has selected Dr Rama Salla Dieng as the recipient of the 2025 Paula Kantor Award for excellence in field research. ICRW advances rights and opportunities for women, girls, and structurally excluded populations with actionable evidence and solutions. The selection committee was deeply impressed by “Dr. Dieng’s commitment to intersectionality, feminist knowledge production, and non-extractive research”. This award honors ICRW’s former staff, the late Dr. Paula Kantor, who was a leading expert on gender issues in international development. In the spirit of her legacy, it recognises exceptional young professional women researchers, who contribute to the global evidence base, supporting policies and programs that advance gender equity.
