DSA2018: Global inequalities
University of Manchester, 27-29th June
The conference will take place in the Renold Building, Altrincham Street of the University of Manchester. All panel sessions and events will take place in the Renold Building, except the Welcome reception on Wed 27 June which will take place in the Sackville Street building. See the travel page for a map and how to get to the venue.
Unfortunately, we do not have reserved University accommodation for delegates, as due to the date of this year's conference, the University did not have rooms available during the period of the conference.
Marketing Manchester has provided a list of accommodation options for delegates, which can be found here. This website will close at the end of May, so please make your booking soon.
Please note: We have been informed that as there is another large conference in the city centre around the same dates, spaces are filling fast in the hotels and prices may be higher than usual, so you are best to book as early as possible.
If you require childcare during the conference, we would recommend you make a search using the following web resources:
The two nurseries close to the venue (Echoes Day Nursery & Dryden Street Nursery) that are recommended through the University of Manchester website are fully booked and won't be able to accommodate drop-in type childcare needs.
Re-usable cup/mug - please bring one with you!
We will be attempting to minimise and avoid single use plastic and disposable items during the conference. Please make sure you bring with you a reusable bottle/cup/mug/receptacle for you to refill with water and other drinks during the conference.
