DSA President's Sepember Message

We convened a mid-September Heads of Development Centres meeting to discuss strategy for the Development Studies community in the UK, including the sustainability challenges for the DSA UK now that we are more reliant upon income from membership. We are finding ways to reduce our administration costs, but to retain our role across the community of scholars, policy makers and practitioners we need to keep up a level of activity and thus we need additional income streams. The Heads of centres were very supportive with constructive suggestions which we are following up. Some of these will be reported to the upcoming AGM at the 1st November DSA conference in London.
